What is a Dream Tank HQ/Planning Fellow?
The HQ / Planning Fellowship is a hands-on, youth-led apprenticeship for emerging leaders who want to help build real systems-change programs from the inside. This is a co-creative role where fellows help turn vision into structure through operations, outreach, program design, storytelling, research, and collaborative execution. We care about imagination and follow-through: initiative, communication, accountability, and care for the collective.
– Dream Tank Fellowship Program
DreamTank’s Fellowship is a hands‑on leadership pathway for youth ages 15–25.
Fellows learn to facilitate pods, plan and run summer programs, support city pilots, and guide community labs — all using the Systems Change L.A.B. framework.
This is not a traditional internship.
It’s a co‑creative apprenticeship where youth lead, adults support, and communities transform.
HQ / Fellowship Leadership Roles (May – Aug 2026)
Format: virtual, hybrid (role dependent). Compensation varies by role (paid stipend, volunteer, or course credit).
🌀Chief of Staff Fellow
18-25, Boulder based or virtual. Support Dream Tank with cross-city coordination, meeting notes, gate tracking, fundraising, and city MOU support.
🌱 Fundraising Development Fellow (Backend Magic)
18-25, strong writing skills. Role tasks include donor outreach, grant research, and pitch deck support.
🌍 Fundraising Development Apprentice
16-18, interested in social entrepreneurship. Role tasks include researching donors, drafting emails, and tracking pipelines. Volunteer hours and/or course credit.
🧪 Program Coordinator Fellow (Design Challenge Alchemist)
18-25, facilitation experience. Role tasks include designing the Sprint Kit, training curriculum, and fellows onboarding.
🎥 Storytelling & Media Fellow (Narrative Weaver)
18-25, video/content creation skills. Role tasks include documenting the journey, capturing fundraising stories, DreamCast follow-up. Stipend ($500/mo)
💻 Web Design / Development Fellow
18-25, web development skills. Updates fellowship page, builds city hubs, creates application forms.
📚 Research & Systems Mapping Fellow
18-25, technical skills. Maps Impact Zones, creates city research briefs, supports data collection. Budget dependent compensation.
❤️ Culture & Love Keeper Fellows (Vibe Weavers)
18-25, trauma informed facilitation experience. Role includes understanding the Heal-Dream-Build framework, and designing emotional safety protocols.
🌀 Chief of Staff Apprentice
16-18, virtual. Learns operations, records meeting notes, supports communications.
🏙️ City Lab Leads (Golden)
18-25, local to each city or willing to relocate. Recruit local youth cohort, coordinate with city partners, run weekly check-ins. This spring planning role may transition into a Summer City Delivery Fellow role based on fit, funding, and performance.

A separate application for Summer City Delivery Fellows will open soon. These roles will support local youth cohort facilitation, city-based implementation, and weekly program delivery in Golden, Boulder, Providence, and Nairobi.

Is this a remote position? It can be! Depending on your location you will either work remotely or in a hybrid model.
Will I be working with others? Yes! You will work with like minded peers and mentors who will help you develop and improve your professionalism, experience, and capabilities.
Which fellowship am I applying for? Phase 1: HQ / Planning Fellowships (March–May 2026).
Are summer fellowships open yet? Not yet. Summer City Delivery Fellowships will be posted separately.
Can spring fellows be considered for summer roles?
Yes. Some may transition depending on fit, funding, and performance.
Are all roles paid?
No. Compensation varies by role and is listed in each role description.
Can I participate virtually?
Many HQ roles are virtual/hybrid. Summer roles will include more in-person expectations depending on the city and role.
